Formed in 1967 by the amalgamation of the Shipbuilding Employers' Federation, the Dry Dock Owners' and Repairers Central Council and the Shipbuilding Conference. The National Association of Marine Enginebuilders, which had been affiliated to the Shipbuilding Conference, was subsequently affiliated to the SRNA.
1977 The association was dissolved following the nationalisation of the shipbuilding industry.
