1919 West Highland Malt Distilleries Limited was incorporated. The company was a consortium, in which Robertson and Baxter had a principal role. The company acquired six Campbeltown distilleries in an attempt to rationalise production and thus cope with the difficult trading conditions that beset distillers at this time. The six were Ardlussa, Dalintober, Glengyle, Glen Nevis, Kinloch and Scotia (later Glen Scotia).
1923 West Highland Malt Distilleries Limited went into voluntary liquidation.
