GEORGE MARTIN GAMBLE was for the last twenty years of his life associated with the sales side of automobile engineering.
He was associated with Messrs. Karrier Motors for many years, acting as their first Midland agent in Birmingham and later joining their sales staff at Huddersfield. Subsequently he was appointed sales and advertising manager.
He was afterwards and for many years a director of Messrs. Harris and Hassell.
He obtained his works experience with Messrs. Tangye of Birmingham and drawing office experience with Messrs. Belliss and Morcom and Messrs. Lockerbie of Tipton.
For four-and-a-half years he was with Mr. John W. Hall and in 1905 joined Messrs. T. C. Aveling and Company, for whom he eventually became secretary and works manager.
In 1910 he joined Messrs. Karrier Motors.
Mr. Gamble was born in 1879 and died on 18th December 1930.
He had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1905.
