Andrew Creery Stevenson was born in 1880 and obtained his technical education at The Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College.
He served a five years' apprenticeship with the firm of [[Watson, Laidlaw and Co|Watson, Laidlaw and Co., Ltd.]], Glasgow, following which he organized the apprenticeship scheme of [[Airdrie Iron Co|The Airdrie Iron Co]].
In 1905 he joined [[Albion Motor Co|The Albion Motor Car Co., Ltd.]], and was for a number of years Chief of the Designing Office of that firm.
He subsequently became Managing Director of [[Creery Wheel Co|The Creery Wheel Co., Ltd.]], and in 1916 he took up a position as Designer in [[Royal Aircraft Establishment|The Royal Aircraft Establishment]] at Farnborough.
This post he occupied until his death, which took place on 22nd February, 1938, at the age of 58.


He was elected a Member in 1912.

Andrew Creery Stevenson (1880-1938)

Andrew Creery Stevenson was born in 1880 and obtained his technical education at The Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College.

He served a five years' apprenticeship with the firm of Watson, Laidlaw and Co., Ltd., Glasgow, following which he organized the apprenticeship scheme of The Airdrie Iron Co.

In 1905 he joined The Albion Motor Car Co., Ltd., and was for a number of years Chief of the Designing Office of that firm.
