1905 Henry Alexander Stenning won appointment as agent for the Schmidt Superheater Company. At first the activities of the firm were confined to applications in locomotives.
1910 Company founded[1]
1911 the company entered the field of marine installations.
1914 Factory constructed at Trafford Park, Manchester.
1925 Superheaters were introduce into boilers in large power stations including Barking Power Station and Fulham Power Station.

1938 Public company. T. Sugden Ltd, superheater maker, was a subsidiary.
1961 Designers and manufacturers of superheaters. 750 employees. [2]
1961 Acquired by International Combustion (Holdings) Ltd.[3].
