'Colonel John Hargreaves, J.P., D.L., of Whalley Abbey, and Broad Oak, Accrington, died on Thursday morning, at his Scotch seat, near Kingussie, of congestion of the lungs. Mr. Hargreaves was head of the firm of John Hargreaves and Co., cotton spinners and manufacturers, Accrington, and was an extensive landowner at Accrington, Whalley, Kingussie, and Maiden Erlegh.
