His son V. W. Oubridge succeeded him as managing director and W. N. Lindley took on the chairmanship.

William Arthur Oubridge was born in 1880 and apprenticed to engineering with Noakes and Co., of London.
In 1905 he became Chief Engineer at the Premier Cycle Co., Coventry, and in 1911 founded the British Piston Ring Co., with which he was connected to the time of his death.
He died on 2nd January, 1942, at the age of 61.
He was elected a Member in 1934.
