James Fenton (1761-1834) of Fenton, Murray and Wood
1761 Born the second son of Samuel Fenton and his wife Ellen Leach. The family were descended from wealthy people going back to Thomas Fenton of Hunslet and Elizabeth Hoghton
1795 Partnership established as a steam engine manufactory at Holbeck by Matthew Murray, James Fenton, David Wood, and William Lister to establish Fenton, Murray and Wood
1834 December 17th. Died
