1914 11th March. Died at Salisbury Plain when flying a [[Royal Aircraft Factory: B.E.4| B.E.4]] [[J. E. G. Burroughs| Lt. J. E. G. Burroughs]] at the [[Royal Aircraft Factory]]. The rudder fell off the plane while doing a gentle turn at 350 feet and the machine went in to a spin.
