1869 Samuel Griffin established as an engineering business in Philip Street, Bath.

1900 Griffin Engineering Co established in Bath.

The Museum of Bath at Work has a horizontal Griffin-built gas engine and a Griffin patent Dick, Kerr and Co 6-stroke gas engine on display. The Anson Engine Museum has a vertical Griffin engine on display, made by Dick, Kerr and Co.
