1855 Patent. 'Edward Pellew Plenty and William Pain, of Newbury, in the county of Berkshire, Agricultural Implement Manufacturers and Copartners - An improvement in Ploughs'.[1]
1865 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, Edward Pellew Plenty, and William Pain, as Ironfounders and Machinists, at Newbury, in the county of Berks, under the firm of Plenty and Pain, has been dissolved by mutual consent, as from the 12th day of November last, on which day the said William Pain retired from the said concern, which, since that date has been, and henceforth will be, carried on by the said Edwin Pellew Plenty...'[2]
