1881 Born youngest son of Arthur John Dorman, at Stockton-On-Tees

Educated at Rugby School

1900 Gazetted to the 1st Volunteer Batt., Yorks. Regt.

Director of Dorman, Long and Co. Ltd., Ironmasters and Steel Manufacturers, Middlesbrough

1910 Retired from the army.

1911 Arthur Dorman 29, director of a steel manufacturing company, lived in Guisborough with Dorothy Helen Dorman [1]

WWI Served with the Yorks. Regt. (Major); mentioned in despatches.
