1851 Successor to Clymer, Dixon and Co
1852 News item. 'On Sunday morning, shortly after two o'clock, a fire of a very alarming character broke out in the extensive premises of Mr. Carpenter (formerly Messrs. Clymer, Dixon, & Co.), manufacturer of the patent Columbian printing press, situate at No. 10, Finsbury-street, Finsbury-square. The origin of the fire was from the heat of the furnace line. Mr. Carpenter was insured in the Monarch Fire-office.'[1]
