1866 Compound beam pumping engine at The Ryde Waterworks. See illustration. The general design was done by James Easton, but the detail and execution was the work of John Bourne.[1]. The firm was wrongly named Londale and Dale in the 'Engineering' article.
By 1868 the firm had become J. and T. Dale.
