Stag were motorcycles produced from 1912 to 1914, by a firm located in Sherwood, Nottingham. Also produced cars.
Machines were built and fitted with Precision engines of various sizes. They also made Stag engines. The firm was very small, not listed, nor seen at the London shows.
1912 New Companies. 'Registered with a capital £3,000 in £1 shares, to carry on the business of motor, aviation, and general engineers, manufacturers of iron, steel, metal goods, and hardware of all kinds, etc., to acquire goodwill and all (or any) of the assets of the Buckman Engineering (Parent) Co., Ltd. (in liquidation). The subscribers are: W. H. Radford, Woodlands, Sherwood, Nottingham, Civil Engineer, 2.000 shares; W. N. Radford, Woodlands, Sherwood, Nottingham, engineering student, 10 shares. Private company. W. H. Radford permanent governing director. Qualification (except governing director), 10 shares. Registered office: 538 a, Mansfield Road, Sherwood, Nottingham.'[1]
With the outbreak of war, they did not survive.
