The company started in Dorchester in late Victorian times and then spread all over the country.
It was an early plant hire company, which specialised in hiring out Aveling and Porter rollers.
Presumably connected with Eddison and De Mattos
1903 Walter Eddison died.
1904 J. Hibbert de Mattos is the Managing Director
1948 EGM called to approve voluntary liquidation[1]
In 1949, Eddison’s was bought by the British Electric Traction Co
1952 Company was in voluntary liquidation[2]
