1924 Richard Dutton-Forshaw, younger son of Richard Forshaw of Burtonwood Brewery Co founded the Burtonwood Engineering Co[3]

1935 Name changed - presumably Burtonwood Motor and Aircraft Engineering Co

1959 Dutton-Forshaw sold the company.[6]
1961 Group comprises: Oilfield Equipment Division, manufacturing deep oil well pumps, gas lift valves, slush pump liners, piston rods; plastic Machinery Division: Manufacturing extruders and take-off equipment, dicing machines, granulating machines, high pressure fittings; Oil seal Division, manufacturing synthetic rubber oil seal for industrial and automotive application, rubber moulding; Garage Equipment Division, manufacturing air compressors and boring bars, reconditioning of internal combustion engines. 1,000 employees.
