1935 Runciman (London) Ltd set up a new company called Anchor Line (1935) Ltd to take over the fleet and services of Anchor Line, except those of Anchor-Donaldson and Anchor-Brocklebank, both of which ceased to exist. Philip Runciman became chairman.
1969 Walter Runciman & Co Ltd (which controlled Anchor Line Ship Management Ltd) acquired Currie Line Ltd and launched themselves into the bulk carrier trade.
1976 the Anchor Line Ltd structure was recast and had five operating divisions created:
