The [[Knight Engine|Knight engine]] was developed to fruition in England gaining an earlier start in Europe, where it also lasted longer. Mercedes built their 4-litre Knight 16/50 until 1924.

Buses

In the 1920s-1930s Mercedes-Benz built very few chassis for Britain .

Pullman Roadways of Croydon ran a fleet of five 20 seater Mercedes-Benz luxury coaches. These ran on the London-Southampton-Bournemouth and London-Torquay-Plymouth routes.

1938 They constructed a forward control model to seat 44 passengers.
