1952 Automatic Telephone and Electric Co acquired a factory in Bridgnorth which became A T and E (Bridgnorth) Ltd. Manufactured very high frequency radio telephone equipment. Most of the work was for Government Departments[1]

1953 The commercial equipment activity of Radio Gramophone Development Co was transferred to the new subsidiary at Bridgnorth, A. T. and E. (Bridgnorth)[2] whilst the company's radio and TV products business was sold.

1989 The name of A. T. and E. (Bridgnorth) was changed to Siemens Plessey Electronic Systems Ltd, registered office at Ilford[3]
