Four-span aqueduct carrying the [[Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal]] over the river Trent
This is a four arch masonry aqueduct, built by [[James Brindley]] c.1772 to take the [[Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal]] over the River Trent.<ref>Civil Engineering Heritage - West Midlands by Roger Cragg, Phillimore & Co, 2010</ref>
 
It was built on dry land, and the river was then diverted to flow under it.

at Great Haywood, Stafford

This is a four arch masonry aqueduct, built by James Brindley c.1772 to take the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal over the River Trent.[1]

It was built on dry land, and the river was then diverted to flow under it.
