Hansen Shipbuilding and Repairing Company was a shipbuilding company based in Northam, Bideford, Devon
1919 Established by Sven Wohlford Hansen, a Norwegian shipbuilder with a previous successful history of shipbuilding in Cardiff.
Prior to 1919, the yard had mainly built coasters and Hansen continued this tradition.
1921 Hansen received a baronetcy in the New Year's honours for public and local services.[1]

1924 After building three coasters for his own fleet, the freight slump of the 1920s bankrupted Hansen and the yard closed down in 1924.[2]
