1886 The Paragon Check Book Co was established in the City of London by S. J. Moore in Ropemaker Street, E.C.

Later moved to larger premises in Charterhouse Building, E.C..

1889 The Lamson Paragon Supply Co was established in London, by amalgamation of the Paragon Check Book Co and the Lamson Store Service Co, with rights to salesbook patents and manufacturing know-how throughout Europe and Australia.
