ROBERT FRANCIS POCHIN was the second son of one of the founders of the firm of Messrs. Goodwin, Barsby and Company, of Leicester, and he joined the firm immediately upon leaving school. He obtained experience in every department of the firm's works, and eventually became a managing partner and director together with his brother, Mr. Harry S. Pochin. The firm specialize in road machinery and crushing machines and has prospered under Mr. Pochin's management.
He became a Member of the Institution in 1915, and died, at the age of 62, on 25th October 1929.
