1926 'Mr. T. Allan Johnson, who has been elected president of the South Wales Institute of Engineers for 1927, is a native of Newcastle. He went to Cardiff over 30 years ago to become general manager of Messrs. Hills Dry Dock and Engineering Co., Ltd., of which undertaking he is now managing director. For many years he has served on the council of the South Wales Institute of Engineers and is an ex-president of the Bristol Channel Shiprepairers' Association.'<ref>Liverpool Journal of Commerce - Thursday 07 October 1926</ref>
