Richard Evans' sons, Joseph and Josiah, joined the firm,
1873 Josiah died; Joseph Evans became the sole owner and worked the pits
1879 Company formed; output of 1,000,000 tons from seven pits, which employ 5,900 men.
1869-87 Six locomotives (0-4-0WT) were built for their own use. [1]
1889 The company was registered on 20 September, to take over the business of colliery proprietors of the firm of the same name. [2]
