1904 The Brampton Chain Company of Cookley began to manufacture wheels for heavy commercial vehicles on the Ironworks site.

1913 This laid the foundation of the successful Steel Stampings Company when road transport developed[1]

1920 Acquired by Sheffield Steel Products

1937 Specialists in production of sheet-metal pressings. [2]

By 1938 had become Steel Stampings Ltd
