1994 Merger of Akzo and Nobel Industries Sweden

1995 The Decorative Coatings Business of AkzoNobel Coatings was transferred to Crown Berger Ltd creating a substantial new business serving the UK decorative paint market.[1]

1998 Brunner Mond Holdings acquired the soda ash production capabilities of Akzo Nobel in The Netherlands to form Brunner Mond B.V.

AkzoNobel acquired a group of paint companies from Williams Holdings.

2007 Akzo Nobel acquired ICI[2]
