1891 'This company was registered on the 28th ult., with a capital of £400,000 in £10 shares, to acquire and take over the undertaking and assets of the following companies, persons, and firms, viz., The Old Buxton Lime Company Limited, incorporated in 1883: The Burton Lime Company Limited, incorporated in 1888: the Buxton Central Lime and Stone Company Limited, incorporated in 1878 ; Mr. William Brierley trading The East Buxton Lime Company, and The Miller's Dale Lime Company, at Wormhill and Taddington, Derbyshire ; Mr. J. Partington, trading as the Ashwood Dale Lime and Stone Company ; the Great Rocks Lime and Stone Company, of Doveholes; Messrs. T. Beswick and Son, of Wormhill and Peak Forest; Messrs, Edward Heathcott and Sons, of Doveholes; Messrs. Richard Briggs and Sons, of Dowlow ; Messrs. J. and M. Tymm, of Marple, Cheshire ; Mr. J. Wainwright. of Wormhill and Peak Forest: and Mr. W. P. Dixon, Bugsworth, Derby; to enter into agreements for the purpose, and to carry on the business of quarry proprietors, lime burners, lime dealers and merchants, plaster and cement manufacturers, asphalters, brick and tile manufacturers, lead smelters and miners, coal merchants, etc. The subscribers are -.
