The British Deperdussin Aeroplane Co was registered in April 1912 as the successor to the British Deperdussin Aeroplane Syndicate.

The new company designed and built planes on general Deperdussin (a French maker) lines. The designer was Frederick Koolhoven.

The monoplanes were powered by 60 / 100 hp Anzani or 70 / 100 hp Gnome engines.
