Mr. Hardy was the son of the original Hardy whose name appears in the company's title. Joining the company direct from Wyggeston School, he later was appointed assistant secretary, secretary, and finally joined the board of directors. He retired three years ago on account of ill-health. Mr. Hardy held a number of offices at Victoria-road Church. He leaves a widow, three sons, and two daughters.
