Wine merchants

1898 Samuel Benett Burt Thresher founded Thresher & Co, based on some eight shops in Fulham and other parts of London

1917 Became a limited company

1928 S. B. B. Thresher retired and was succeeded by Sydney Follett as managing director and H. A. Bonner as chairman.

1937 Acquired the seventeen shops of Watson, Son and Co

1957 Acquired by Flowers Breweries

1962 Whitbread acquired Flowers Breweries

Shops amalgamated with F. S. Stowell later Stowells of Chelsea
