William Barnard (1806-1878) of J. E. Barnard and Co and Hunt, Barnard and Co

Born at Minchinhampton the son of Edward Barnard

1832 Married at Rodborough to Mary Bayles

1847 William Barnard of Lodgemore-mills.

1851 Residing at Oakham, Minchinhampton: William Barnard (age 44 born Minchinhampton), Woollen Cloth Manufacturer. With his wife Mary, sons Edward, William and henry, and three daughters.[1]

1851 GWR Railway accident between Tetbury and Stroud. Amongst those who were injured by this mishap were Mr. William Barnard, of Stroud, and Mr. William Jowlings, (of the firm of J. E. Barnard and Co.) of the same place. The former fortunately escaped with a few bruises, and was enabled to complete his journey; the latter was sadly cut about the face, and dislocated his elbow ; and although we are glad to find he is proceeding favourably, he must for some time be a sufferer from this most untoward accident.'[2]

1871 Lodging at Llanddulas, Retired Manufacturer.[3]

1878 Died at Winchcombe, age 72.
