1970 Myson Group acquired the Reside group from Cope Allman International; Reside consisted of :
- Ramsden Reside Engineering Ltd, fabricators of steel pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc for chemical works and steel plant
- Reside (Pressings) Ltd
- Peckett and Sons, supplier of locomotive spares[2]
