George Goffrie Higgs was actively connected with the training side of the industry, first as Instructor with the Motor Training Institute, and then as Lecturer at the Polytechnic School of Engineering.
In 1926 he was appointed to take charge of the Tuition Department of Stewart and Ardern, but contracted tuberculosis, from which he died on 26th November, 1928.
He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1916.
