HENRY SHOOLBRED FOX had been chairman since 1918 of Messrs. G. J. Worssam and Son of Wenlock Road, London.
He was born in London in 1869 and spent two of his student years in Germany. He served a five years' apprenticeship from 1883 to 1888 with Messrs. Worssam and was subsequently engaged as draughtsman by Messrs. Crompton and Company.
He returned to the former firm however in 1889, at the request of Mr. H. J. Worssam, to take charge of the drawing office, and in 1902 he was taken into partnership. His particular interests were machinery for the brewing and distilling industry in which his firm specialized, and he held various patents.
Mr. Fox was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1899 and was transferred to Membership in 1904.
His death occurred on 6th March 1933.
