"EDWARD HENRY VAN MEETEREN was in the service of the City of Birmingham Electricity Department throughout his professional career, including his apprenticeship from 1923 to 1929. He was born in 1907 and received his theoretical training in engineering at the Central Technical College in Birmingham.
