"GEORGE MCDOUGALL, B.Sc., whose death occurred, as the result of an accident, on 26th February 1949, at the early age of thirty-five, was in the service of the transport department of the Corporation of Edinburgh throughout his brief career, including his apprenticeship from 1934 to 1936.
He was educated at Perth Academy and at the University of Edinburgh, where he graduated B.Sc. in electrical engineering in 1934.
