"GEORGE ERNEST GORE held the important position of general manager at the engineering works of Messrs. Head, Wrightson and Company, Ltd., Thornaby-on-Tees, with control of about 2,500 employees.
He was born at Liverpool in 1881 and received his technical education at the Nautical and Technical Colleges in that city. After serving his apprenticeship with Messrs.
