Since 1936 he had been engineer and clerk of the works at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Pendlebury, where his death occurred on 26th March 1947 at the age of forty-eight. He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1932."

"PERCIVAL WILLOUGHBY received his technical education (which extended over ten years), in mechanical engineering at the Salford and Wigan Technical Colleges.

After completing his practical training with the South Wales Anthracite Colliery Co; Messrs. Andrew Knowles and Son, Ltd., of Manchester, and Messrs. J.
