STEPHEN HENDERSON BURROWS was identified with the Britannia Foundry of Messrs. Goodbrand and Company, Ltd., Stalybridge, for the whole of his professional career, including his apprenticeship from 1885 to 1890. After a thorough course of training in all branches of the business he rose by successive stages from chief draughtsman and works manager to his final position of general manager in 1913.
Mr. Burrows whose death occurred on 10th March 1946, in his seventy-fourth year, was elected a Member of the Institution in 1918.
