1969 Brand names included Bergercoat, Brolac, Magicote, Robbialac as well as Cuprinol wood preservative and Spelthorne metallic pigments. Celanese sold British Paints and other paints interests to Berger, Jenson and Nicholson in exchange for Berger shares and debt[1]
1969 Taken over by Hoeschst AG in association with Albert E. Reed and Co[2]
1970 Berger-Hall Paints was formed from the decorative businesses of John Hall and Sons (Bristol and London), British Paints and Berger J. and N. Paints[3]
