1893 June. Announcement. 'The Turner Pneumatic Tyre Company (Limited) has been formed with a capital of £50,000 in 50,000 shares of £1 each, the whole of which are now offered for public subscription. The directors undertake to give an allotment pro rata, according to the applications, excepting that they will reserve a fourth of the capital to be allotted to cycle Manufacturers and agents, as they will thus secure the co-operation of the trade. The company is authorised to manufacture tyres under the Dunlop & Welch patents, with the addition of the Turner improvements.'[1]
