1881 "THE estates of James Dunlop, Engineer, and James Bell, Architect's Assistant, both residing in Motherwell, sometime carrying on business there as Ironfounders, under the names or styles of Dunlop, Cameron, and Bell, and of Dunlop, Bell, and Company, of which Companies they were the sole Partners, as such Partners, and as Individuals, were sequestrated on the 12th day of February, 1881, by the Sheriff of Lanarkshire.
The first deliverance is dated 12th February, 1881. The meeting to elect the Trustee and Commissioners is to be held at twelve o'clock, noon, on Tuesdav, the 24th day of February current, within the Brandon Hotel, Motherwell. A composition may be offered at this meeting; and to entitle creditors to the first dividend, their oaths and grounds of debt mast be lodged on or before the 12th day of June, 1881.
All future advertisements relating to this sequestration will be published in the Edinburgh Gazette alone. JOHN D. FAIRLEY, Solicitor, Motherwell, Agent. Motherwell, 12th February, 1881."[1]
