1817 The company started supplying coal-gas for lighting the streets of Bristol. For a considerable time, there was great prejudice on the part of the residents in Clifton against the use of coal-gas but eventually this feeling passed away.
1855 Amalgamated with the Clifton and Bristol Gas Co under the title of the Bristol United Gaslight Company.
1891 Name reverted to "The Bristol Gas Company".
1935 Marketed Parkinson Stove Co. Ltd., Sugg and New Geysers Ltd. gas appliances.[1]
1939 Marketed Ascot water heaters and Economic gas washing machines.
