1864/5 Ambrose Firth, having worked with John Martin Stanley, set up in business as A. Firth and subsequently as Brightside Foundry Co.

1877 Ambrose Firth and Jabez Stanley were joint partners in Brightside Iron Foundry Co[1]

1879 Jabez Stanley, ironfounder, of Brightside Foundry Co[2]

1882 Jabez Stanley left the partnership with Ambrose Firth and George Shaw, Ironfounders, Steel Manufacturers, and Iron and Steel Merchants, as Brightside Foundry Company, at the Newhall Iron Works, Newhall-road, Sheffield[3]

1897 Brightside Foundry Co was involved in the Federation of Engineers lock-out[4]

1899 Incorporated as Brightside Foundry and Engineering Co
