c1827 Born in Dove, Derbys.
1871 Living at Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield: Absalom Harrop (age 44 Dove, Derbyshire), Bellows Manufacturer. With his wife Catherine S. Harrop (age 43 Dumfries) and their children Henry A. Harrop (age 18 Sheffield), Asenath A. Harrop (age 16 Sheffield), Adela Harrop (age 11 Sheffield), Ellen C. Harrop (age 10 Sheffield), Caroline M. Harrop (age 8 Sheffield), Catherine S. Harrop (age 5 Sheffield), and Charles E. Harrop (age 1 Sheffield). Two servants.[1]
