Gorrig School, Kingstown, Ireland. Training: Royal College of Sc. for Ireland, and served apprenticeship with Fletcher, Sons and Fearnall, Union Dry Docks, London; 8 years with British Insulated Wire Co. (now Brit. Ins. and Helsby Cables, Ltd.), as Supt. in charge of Cable and Overhead Electric Tramway Contracts; 15 years with British Westinghouse Co. (now Met. Vickers Elec. Co.); District Manager of Birmingham, and later of Cardiff district offices; 2 years at M. of M., London, as Director of Electric Furnaces. Various papers before Technical Socs. Club: Engrs.
