1968 Became part of GEC-Elliott Automation[3]
1960 AEI Scientific Apparatus, in its factory at Harlow, completed the first commercial million-volt electron microscope to be built in Europe for delivery to the Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwall[4]
1969 The Division had 2 factories, at Manchester and Harlow; it was considered as a target for acquisition by Rank[5]
