Tooth and Yates
1860 Messrs Tooth and Yates patented a mechanical puddling furnace[1]
1861 Patent to William Henry Tooth, of Rhodeswell-road, Middlesex, Engineer, and William Yates the younger, of Parliament-street, Westminster, Agent, in respect of the invention of "improvements in the manufacture of iron and steel, and in the machinery, apparatus, or furnaces used therein, and for the production of gas to be employed in such manufacture"[2]
1873 William Yates of Westminster wrote to The Engineer about materials for lining reverbatory furnaces, mentioning his patent of 1868
